Police surrounded a home on Chapman Street in Willimantic Saturday afternoon after learning a wanted felon was inside. Investigators said Oscar Colon, 30, was involved in a December 2009 shooting on Ives Street. Police reported that Colon had barricaded himself in the home. Because of his violent past, police called in the Special Operations Group to surround the home. Homes in the area were evacuated before the tactical unit moved in. Colon was taken into custody a short time later without incident. He is facing multiple charges and was being held on a $750,000 bond. Colon is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
