ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - As John Cahill challenges Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, the Republican is calling on Schneiderman to break his silence on reports the Cuomo administration meddled with a state corruption commission. A Schneiderman spokesman says he has prosecuted dozens of people involved in public corruption cases.

YOUNGSTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - The Coast Guard has rescued three people from a sailboat on Lake Ontario after its sail tore and left it disabled in choppy water yesterday. The boat called in a mayday for help. Gusty winds and waves of up to 8 feet were reported at the time.

GREENWOOD LAKE, N.Y. (AP) - A New Jersey man has drowned in a lake along the New York-New Jersey border. Orange County authorities tell the Times Herald-Record Ronald Huffin jumped off a boat to swim and didn't re-surface after going underwater. Another man went in but was unable to find Huffin. His body was recovered by divers late yesterday afternoon.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Even as violence continues to flare between Gaza and Israel, Governor Andrew Cuomo says he's considering visiting Israel. The Democrat says if he goes, his visit would highlight the special relationship between Israel and New York.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Wegmans says it plans to add 10 new stores in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic over the next couple years. The grocery store chain currently has 84 stores in 6 states, more than half of them in New York.
