RAY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) - The driver of a pickup truck that crashed into a car in the Adirondacks while fleeing police, killing a couple and injuring their daughter, is facing charges. State police say 20-year-old Trevor Sisto of Fort Covington was arraigned this morning on charges that include unlawfully fleeing a police officer and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A former Toys R Us employee has been sentenced to 25 years in state prison for killing his boss last year inside the Buffalo-area store where they both worked. Local media report that Bernard Grucza (GROOZ'-uh) didn't speak during his sentencing in state Supreme Court in Buffalo. Grucza pleaded guilty in April to a reduced charge of manslaughter in the slaying of 35-year-old Laurence Wells II.

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - Businessman Matthew Doheny says he won't pursue a northern New York congressional seat on a third-party line and is endorsing Republican candidate Elise Stefanik. Stefanik defeated Doheny in a bitter Republican primary last month. Doheny's decision not to campaign removes the threat that he would siphon votes from her in the competitive race for New York's 21st Congressional District.

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - Thousands are descending on Cooperstown for a big National Baseball Hall of Fame induction weekend. Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Frank Thomas, Bobby Cox, Tony La Russa and Joe Torre are being welcomed into the Hall on Sunday.
