Chilly Dog Walk and Run being held in Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT (WFSB) -

Soul Friends will team up with the Cheshire Dog Park for a 1.5 mile walk or run with your pet event on Oct. 29.

The event is being held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Cheshire Park on Route 10 and will benefit Soul Friends and all of its programs.

The event will feature free chili dogs, a costume contest for children and their dogs, children's arts and crafts, Connecticut State Police K9 demonstrations, agility search and rescue dog demonstrations and a blessing of the dogs.

Several dog rescue groups and shelters will also be present to help find new homes for dogs and cats in need.
