Marijuana cigarette found on child; Father charged

CLINTON, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Clinton were called to the Clinton Child Care Center on East Main Street on Thursday after an employee found a marijuana cigarette in an 18-month-old child's lunch box.

An investigation into the incident found that the child's father, 33-year-old, John Sulzbach, of Killingworth, dropped the marijuana cigarette into the child's food container the night before while making the child's lunch.

The parents allowed police to enter their home on Iron Works Road in Killingworth and found that Sulzbach was in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and found drug paraphernalia in his basement.

Sulzbach was arrested and charged with Risk of Injury to a Minor and possession of a controlled substance.
