University of Connecticut officials have scheduled two forums this week to discuss the potential for increases in tuition rates and fees next year.
UConn Chief Financial Officer Richard Gray will make presentations Monday and Thursday about the university's budget process, its funding priorities and financial challenges, and other topics.
The gatherings come as UConn trustees prepare to start discussing the 2012-13 budget, including tuition and fees for students on the main and regional campuses.
The school raised those costs by 2.5 percent this fall, citing a decline in state financial assistance and rising costs. Trustees haven't said if they anticipate another tuition increase.
Monday's meeting starts at 1:30 p.m., and Thursday's starts at 3 p.m. Both will take place in the Konover Auditorium at Dodd Center on the Storrs campus.
