Bed Bath & Beyond has issued a recall for its Dual Ridge Metal boutique tissue holders after the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NCR) said the production contained a material that emits low levels of radiation.
According to officials at the NCR, said there is no immediate threat to anyone's health from the tissue holders and advised that the radiation cannot be inhaled or transferred to other objects (such as tissues).
Bed Bath and Beyond said out of an abundance of caution for their customers, they have pulled the product off the sales floor and removed it from the website. They are also asking anyone who may have purchased the product to bring it to their nearest Bed Bath & Beyond for a full refund.
Customers with questions can call 1-800-462-3966.
The product was sold since July 2011, in about 200 stores in the U.S. and Canada and on the companies website.
