Hartford police are looking for the driver of a car that rolled over on Edgewood Street knocking down two utility poles and crashing through a fence.
Police said they were called around 4 a.m. to the corner of Edgewood Street and Homestead Avenue. When they arrived they located a red Pontiac Grand Am on its roof in the roadway, but the driver was nowhere to be found.
The force of the accident snapped nearby utility poles and set the wires on fire, neighbors said.
Fire crews checked out homes in the neighborhood to make sure the fire did not spread into any of them.
CL&P has been called to the scene to cut the power and work on repairing the poles.
