Waterbury florist battles flooding

WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

Graham's Florist Shop usually relies on water to stay in business but outside in the parking lot the water could soon put her out of business.

The owner of the florist shop, Moria Graham-Mehmet, said water just flows into her parking lot and freezes on a daily basis in front of the store.

She says when the road started deteriorating the city never fixed it the right way.

The city tells Eyewitness News the problem is ground water coming from a private piece of property above Graham's.

But Graham-Mehmet says it's the road and the lack of properly working storm drains.
