HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

The man accused in the shooting death of a Hartford mother faced a judge Thursday.

Luis Sanchez, 27, opened fire outside a bar in Hartford in 2010 when he hit the mother, who police said was an innocent bystander.

Officers arrested Sanchez and charged him with murder in the death of Jeanna Flores, 27.

Police said Flores died after being shot in the head when Sanchez opened fire outside of the Franklin Avenue club. Two other men were also wounded, which prompted police to charge Sanchez with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Sanchez is being held in an unrelated assault case.
