Sam Adams Boston Lager banned at NYC bar on Sunday

NEW YORK CITY (WFSB) -

A bar owner in New York City is taking team rivalry to the extreme.

The owner of Foley's Pub, who just so happens to be a die-hard Giants fan, said he is banning all sales of Sam Adams Boston Lager this Sunday when the New York Giants take on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.

"We'll have a lot of Pats fan here on Sunday, they just won't be drinking Sam Adams," he said.

Of course, it's all in good fun. The bar owner said if you're in New York, you have to root for the Giants.
