Norwich Police bust pot factory

NORWICH, CT (WFSB) -

Norwich Police said they busted a pot factory on Friday afternoon run out of a Sachem Street home.

Police said they went to the residence to execute a warrant for John R. Barry, 54, and discovered 80 marijuana plants in various stages of growth.

Barry and his wife, 51-year-old Michelle Barry, were arrested for the items seized from their residence and charged with the following: cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of heroin, possession of heroin within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia

The Norwich Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident or any criminal activity in the city to call 860-886-5561, or the Anonymous Tip Line at 860-886-5561, extension 500.
