MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) -
Two people have been displaced after a fire at a Middletown condominium complex.
Fire officials say the two were inside the unit on Meetinghouse Lane when the blaze began around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, but the residents managed to escape.
A family cat did not survive the fire.
Neighbors say though nearby condos were not damaged, they did fill with smoke.
"The hallway was full of smoke," said Paul Cumberlidge. "I called 911."
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
