STORRS, CT (WFSB) -
University of Connecticut men's basketball coach Jim Calhoun will remain on medical leave and will miss his third consecutive game on Saturday.
Calhoun announced last week he would be on medical leave as he undergoes treatment for spinal stenosis, a painful lower back condition.
Officials said Calhoun, who has been physically unable to coach basketball games, is scheduled to meet with specialists to discuss his condition and treatment options.
"I'm feeling better, but as of now, I wouldn't be able to coach," Calhoun said Tuesday. "I'm trying to get the best assessment in order to find the best solution."
Calhoun is expected to remain on medical leave until further notice.
