Quassy's new tea cup ride taking shape

MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) -

Quassy Amusement Park released photographs of the creation of its new ride, "Crazy Cups," as it is being built in in Italy by the manufacturing firm Zamperla.

Once complete, the ride will feature six giant tea cups rotating on a revolving platform with riders able to spin each individual cup.

The ride will be able to seat children and adults with each cup capable of accommodating a family of four.

The ride should be operational when Quassy opens for its 104th season on April 28.
