The attorney for Jason Zullo, one of four East Haven police officers arrested on charges they targeted Latinos in the community, want the case thrown out.
The attorney says the U.S. Attorney's Office turned their case against the officers into a publicity stunt and the statements the feds made after the arrests are prejudicial.
In the motion, it says the federal agents sent out a press release, held a press conference and delivered remarks characterizing the defendants as "bullies with badges" and a "cancerous cadre"
The defense attorney says the publicity makes it difficult for his client to get a fair trial.
