Hartford fire displaces three residents

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) -

Firefighters in Hartford were called to an apartment building on Woodland Drive on Sunday evening for a report of smoke in the building.

Crews arrived to find a fire in the bedroom of one of the apartments.

One person was home when the fire started.

All of the residents were outside of the building by the time the fire department arrived.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading beyond the bedroom but there was smoke and water damage in the apartment. The family of three was not able to spend the night in the apartment.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
