WFSB Channel 3Police investigate alleged kidnapping
Police in West Haven and New Haven are investigating an alleged kidnapping and assault that took place over the weekend.
The victim told police she was walking home from work at a hookah lounge in New Haven when a dark gray car pulled up at Church and George streets.
She told officers the driver called her name, pulled her into the car and drove to West Haven.
The man then allegedly assault her on West Main Street before letting her go.
The victim said she believe he was a customer at the hookah lounge, according to police.

State police say they'll be boosting patrols during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend looking for drunken drivers and people not wearing seat belts.
