Woman files claim over damaged Ugg boots

BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) -

A woman is claiming the city of Bridgeport damaged her Ugg boots.

The Connecticut Post reports that Gina Zamary, of Monroe, wants the city to pay her $250 to replace her pair of Uggs that she says were damaged while she visited the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard for a Sound Tigers hockey game.

According to the claim, Zamary and her family parked in one of the city-owned lots across the street from the arena and when she emerged from the passenger side of the car, she fell face-down on the ground after a rebar hooked inside the front of her Ugg boots and tore them.

Tom Saunders, the arena's director of operations, told her the arena was not liable because the parking lot was city-owned, according to the Connecticut Post story.
