HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Hartford Police said a 20-year-old accused of murdering someone earlier this month during a Maple Avenue street fight has surrendered to police.
Police had been searching for Traistyn George of Hartford since the department's major crimes division detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest last week.
He's been charged with murder and carrying a dangerous weapon.
On Feb. 10 around 11:44 p.m., police responded to 366 Maple Ave. on a report of a street fight. When they arrived, they found about 20 people fighting in the street, two of whom were suffering from stab wounds.
Police said one of the victims, Kevin Rodriguez, 21, of Hartford, was found stabbed in the driveway. Officers performed CPR on him. He was then transported to Hartford Hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
The second victim was admitted and treated for stab wounds at the same hospital. He is recovering from his injuries, according to police.
