Concerns raised about proposed hospital merger

WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) -

Employees and patients at Waterbury and Saint Mary's Hospitals are voicing concerns about the proposal to combine the two facilities.

On Tuesday night, workers appealed to Waterbury's Board of Alderman and said they were worried that the merger could cost people their jobs and compromise patient care.

The company looking to take over the two hospitals has not returned Eyewitness News requests for comments.
