Fire breaks out at Plainfield McDonalds

PLAINFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

A fire broke out at a McDonalds in Plainfield on Wednesday morning.

The fire marshal said that an employee was cleaning a deep fryer when a popping sound was head before it burst into flames.

Plainfield fire crews were able to extinguish the fire and no injuries were reported.

The restaurant was reopened on Wednesday evening.
