WESTBROOK, CT (WFSB) -
One lane of Interstate 95 north in Westbrook has reopened following a crash involving several tractor-trailers Wednesday afternoon.
Connecticut Department of Transportation officials closed the interstate between exits 66 and 67 because of the tractor-trailer crash.
At 3:30 p.m. the right lane of the highway was reopened.
Police say the collision was a chain reaction in the high speed lane.
The cab of the last truck in the chain was crushed. One of the vehicles in the wreck lost its load of bananas on the highway.
It was unknown how long the interstate would be closed, or if anyone has been injured.
No other information was available.
