[Comment From DCC DCC : ]
Does the uterus produce any hormones at all 6 years after menopause? I recently was told I have a small fibroid and wondering about hysterectomy. Even tho I am in menopause I have no hot flashes or other symptoms. Rt ovary was removed 3 years ago for 2 fibromas. GYN not concerned about a fibroid after menopause - which is contrary what I've ever heard.
Thursday March 8, 2012 8:55 DCC

[Comment From Terri Terri : ]
I was the one in tonight's show that they interviewed with the robotic hysterectomy. I can't tell you enough how this surgery changed my life. I am sorry I put it off so long b/c of my fears of surgery. No more pain, bleeding, etc. I still have my ovaries so I am not on medicine. The recovery was nothing. Besides having my 2 children, this surgery was the best thing I have ever done for myself. No need to suffer like I did. Dr. Fagan and Dr. Kuiper are the best! Their support and care got me through it. If you are contemplating this surgery, wait no more. Go for it! You won't regret it! Hartford Hospital is fantasitc, too!
