3 arrested in Middletown drug bust; children found living in filth

MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) -
Middletown police have arrested three people after they served a search and seizure warrant during a drug bust at a South Main Street home Thursday.
Officials said they had received numerous complaints from concerned citizens about activity at 280 South Main St.
Police said when they entered the rear door of the home they found 26 bags of heroin and a Taser.
Police located their target suspect, 44-year-old Gregory Field, in the kitchen of the home and placed him into custody.
During the incident police also arrested Field's girlfriend, 44-year-old Evelyn Parker and Parker's daughter, 24-year-old Carlessie Parker.
In addition, three young children were located in the home.
Police said they called the Department of Children and Families to the scene because the house smelled of urine and had food, garbage, insects, knives and narcotic paraphernalia strewn about it.
Police said in addition to the heroin they located a small amount of marijuana, packaging materials, scales, and a functioning police scanner in an upstairs room.
Field was arrested and charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, criminal possession of an electronic defense weapon and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
Evelyn Parker was arrested and charged possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. Her daughter Carlessie Parker was also arrested and charged with three counts of risk of injury to a minor. Carlessie Parker was released on a $10,000 bond, Evelyn Parker was held on a $25,000 bond.
Field and Evelyn Parker are due to appear in Middletown Superior Court on Friday.
