Hartford and New Haven St. Patrick's Day parades this weekend

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) -
Both the Hartford and New Haven St. Patrick's Day parades will be held this weekend.
The 41st Annual Greater Hartford St. Patrick's Day Parade is Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
The parade begins in Hartford at Capitol Avenue by the state Capitol, takes a left on Main Street, a left on Asylum, a left on Ford Street and then ends by the Memorial Arch. It will be held rain or shine.
Sister Peggy Evans will be the Grand Marshal and our very own morning anchor, Irene O'Connor, is Person of the Year.
The Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
The New Haven parade begins on Derby Avenue and Chapel Street and ends on Orange Street. Most streets in the area will close around 11 a.m. The parade will last approximately three hours.
The New Haven parade's Grand Marshal is Kevin A. Smith.
