The state has paid out more than $65 million in claims advertised on the CT Big List, according to State Treasurer Denise L. Nappier.
The list contains thousands of dormant balances in savings and checking accounts, unredeemed stocks and bonds, unreturned security deposits and uncashed checks, such as wages or commissions.
Nappier is encourages everyone to search the CT Big List for their name, or that of a family member or friend.
The largest single claim paid since the CT Big List was published in November 2011 and was $76,948, according to Nappier
