EAST HADDAM, CT (WFSB) -

A standoff in East Haddam shut down Route 82 and Mount Parnassus Road late Saturday night.

State Troopers were called to the home of 61-year-old Edward Currie after he submitted a false complaint to police.

When State Police arrived, Currie barricaded himself inside his home on Parnassus Road and refused to come out.

After a three-hour standoff, State Police were able to get Currie out of the home peacefully. He is being held on a $20,000 bond and is charged with interfering with an officer, falsely reporting an incident, and breach of peace. He is due in court Monday.

All roads have since reopened.
