State police are investigating what may have caused a fatal car crash on the Glastonbury and Marlborough town lines Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon on Route 2 between exits 11 and 13.
Police said Richard Sullivan, 68, of Huntington, was killed after the car he was driving was struck by a wrong way driver. The passenger in Sullivan's car was transported by ambulance to Hartford Hospital.
The wrong way driver was identified by police as Lingxin Wu, 22, of Willimantic. He was taken by Lifestar medical helicopter to Hartford Hospital.
A third car was also involved in the crash as it was unable to avoid Sullivan's car after the initial crash with the wrong way driver. The driver of that car was not injured in the crash.
Route 2 was closed in the area for several hours. It has since reopened.
