Firefighters are fighting a massive fire that has severely damaged a home in Vernon.
The fire broke out around 2 a.m. on Oakmoor Road.
When fire crews arrived they found the home heavily engulfed in flames and quickly called for a second alarm.
Officials said the home was vacant at the time. It is believe the homeowners are currently living in an assisted living facility and that family was renovating the property.
The fire marshal and building inspector are both expected to be on scene later this morning to try to determine the cause and decide if the home can be saved.
