Fundraiser for mother who lost son in fire

WOLCOTT, CT (WFSB) -

The Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a charity basketball game Wednesday to raise money for a woman who lost her son in a fire.

Ruth Fortier escaped from the fire on Central Avenue last month, but her adult son "TW" was killed. The house was destroyed.

The benefit game begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Wolcott High School gym.

The recommended ticket donation is $5.
