ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) -
The severe thunderstorm watch that was posted in Connecticut by the National Weather Service has been canceled.
Severe weather slammed into Connecticut early Monday morning causing damage in several towns as well as flash flooding.

In North Stonington, several people were struck by lightning on a golf course as the weather advanced.
Channel 3 Early Warning Weather meteorologist Scot Haney said strong to severe thunderstorms can be expected later in the afternoon Monday.
