GROTON, CT (WFSB) -
A man was injured in a motorcycle accident in Groton at 4:30 p.m. police said Monday. The man, who police did not identify, was injured when a car pulled out in front of him from a private driveway.
According to police, Todd Caswell, 22 of Pawcatuck, CT was operating with a suspended license at the time of the crash. The operator of the motorcycle sustained injuries to his legs and was transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London.
Caswell was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failing to grant the right of way. The owner of the vehicle, 21-year-old Alissa Hinman also of Pawcatuck, was charged with allowing the operating of a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, allowing the operation of a motor vehicle without insurance and allowing the operation of an unregistered motor vehicle.
Caswell and Hinman were processed and released on bond. They are scheduled to appear in court in New London July 13.
