Route 44 closed in Putnam

PUTNAM, CT (WFSB) -

Route 44 in Putnam was closed on Tuesday afternoon after a tree fell onto utility wires.

Connecticut Department of Transportation officials said Route 44 was closed by Munyan Road after the tree fell.

It was unknown how long the road would be closed.
