A squirrel is to blame for a power outage that closed the post office in Glastonbury on Friday morning.
The squirrel tripped an outside circuit breaker which caused an odor inside the post office.
After smelling the odor, a post office worker turned the power off at the main breaker, but broke the handle in the process.
Connecticut Light and Power repaired the outside circuit breaker.
An electrician has been called to repair the main breaker handle before power can be turned back on.
There is no word on when the post office will reopen.
