CHESTER, CT (WFSB) -
Emergency officials in Chester said a plane crashed off the end of a runway Tuesday morning.
Few details about the incident have been released, but officials said the pilot was not injured and was able to make it out of the airplane.
Airport officials said the pilot overshot the runway and landed a little too long.
Emergency officials said the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified of the incident.
Chester Airport is situated about 3 miles southwest of the center of the town, and is privately owned by Whelen Aviation.
No other information was released.
