Charges not expected to be filed in deadly Farmington crash

FARMINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

Farmington police said charges are not expected to be filed in connection with a crash that killed a teen.

Mateausz Maciulewski, 14, was struck and killed Monday afternoon on Route 4 in Farmington after getting off a CT Transit bus.

According to police, both witnesses and evidence indicate that Maciulewski crossed into the path of oncoming traffic while attempting to cross the roadway.

The driver of the vehicle who struck Maciulewski had a green light, police said. The driver did stop right after the incident and is fully cooperating with police.

Police said speed does not appear to be a factor.

The accident remains under investigation.
