Woman accused of stabbing father of her kids with potato peeler

EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

An East Hartford woman is under arrest after police said she stabbed the father of her two children with a potato peeler on Tuesday night.

Officers were sent to a home on Tolland Street around 10:30 p.m. after getting a call that 37-year-old Cassandra Blake demanded money from her ex, stabbed him, then ran from the scene.

The ex had just dropped off the two children with Blake in Hartford, then Blake followed him back to East Hartford.

The children were not harmed.

Blake was charged with second-degree assault.
