BRIDGEWATER, CT (WFSB) -
Bridgewater Town Hall has been raided by agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
According to Nancy Hawley, the Board of Finance director, between 10 and 15 federal agents arrived at the Town Hall just after noon and collected meeting minutes from the Board of Finance meetings and Board of Selectmen.
Hawley said agents were also looking in to the Burnham Fund, which was set up in the 1920s and helps poor people in the community.
Discussions also took place with those being interviewed by agents and may involve bribery and/or kickbacks, according to Hawley.
