Ibrahim Ghazal - police said he was shot and killed during a robbery on June 27
MERIDEN, CT (WFSB) -
The man charged in connection with the killing of a gas station attendant on June 27 was brought back to Meriden Thursday afternoon.
Meriden police picked up 36-year-old Frankie Resto from Brooklyn, NY.
Police said Resto turned himself into police at the 83rd precinct in Brooklyn on July 6. He was held on a $2 million bond in connection with a warrant for the murder of 70-year-old Ibrahim Ghazal during a robbery.
Police said Resto entered the E-Z Mart convenience store on East Main Street in the middle of the night with a gun and demanded money. Surveillance video shows Ghazal handing over the money, but police said Resto shot and killed him anyway.
Resto is due to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Friday.
He faces felony murder, first degree and other charges.
