Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is expected to announce the latest company to receive state assistance under Connecticut's so-called "First Five" economic development initiative.
The Democratic governor has scheduled a news conference in North Haven on Wednesday morning to announce the details. His office has only said that an international company will be establishing its headquarters in Connecticut and creating hundreds of jobs.
This would be the sixth company to receive state financial assistance and incentives under the "First Five" program. In June, Malloy announced that CareCentrix, an East Hartford home health benefits management firm, would receive $24 million in state grants over five years if it keeps the firm's existing 213 employees and adds 290 more positions by 2017.
