Hartford police investigating overnight shooting

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Hartford police are investigating an overnight shooting that occurred just blocks from the State Capitol building.

Police said the call came in around 1:45 a.m. Friday morning.

When police arrived, they discovered a man who had been shot in the head at the scene.

Police said the victim was rushed to Hartford Hospital, where he is currently undergoing surgery.
