BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) -
One man has died after an overnight shooting in Bridgeport.
Police said that Mi Lin Zhao, 30, of Bridgeport, has died after being shot in the chest near his home.
It happened just after midnight Saturday, according to officials.
Police responded to the area of 46 Wood Avenue and found Zhao suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Witnesses told police Zhao may have been shot during a street robbery.
Police are continuing to investigating the shooting and have not yet identified a suspect.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Bridgeport police.
