Police in Bridgeport are investigating a weekend shooting that left a 15-year-old girl dead.
Keijahnae Robinson had just returned from her friend's sweet-16 birthday party, excited that her own was to be held this weekend.
All that changed when gunfire rang out.
Robinson was shot and killed, and two of her cousins, who are a little bit older, were also hit but survived.
Police are still looking for the shooter.
"This senseless tragedy has my full attention and that of our police force," Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch said. "We will continue to work tirelessly with the state of Connecticut, federal authorities and leaders at every level to tackle the extremely tough issue of gun violence."
Robinson's family is putting together a fundraiser to help pay for her funeral.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
