Waterbury residents want more info on proposed hospital merger - WFSB 3 Connecticut

Some residents in Waterbury said they want to learn more about plans to combine the city's two hospitals.
An agreement has been reached to merge Waterbury Hospital with Saint Mary's Hospital.
Neighbors said the Texas-based firm taking over the hospitals needs to be more forthcoming about the possibility of layoffs and women's health issues.
Saint Mary's Hospital does not offer abortions to women because it's a Catholic hospital.
Neighbors and hospital employees are expected to discuss the issues at a Board of Aldermen meeting which is being held Monday evening.
