Dennis Kowaleski Makes Kruschiki - Fried “Angel Wings”

Kruschiki "Angel Wings"

Ingredients:

6 egg yolks

3 tablespoons evaporated milk

1 ¼ cup flour

¼ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 ounce whiskey

2 tablespoons sugar

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients, reserving ¼ cup flour for kneading. Knead in the remaining flour and let rest for 10 minutes, covered. Roll thin and cut elongated diamonds, 6"x 1"; cut a 1" slot in the center and fold one through the slit. Deep fry at 375° until golden brown, turning only once. Drain on paper. Dust with powdered sugar.
