Water main break closes Route 1 in New London

NEW LONDON, CT (WFSB) -

A water main break has closed Route 1 in New London, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Route 1, also known as Bank Street, was closed at Lee Avenue because of the break.

It was unknown how large the break was, or how long it would take to make repairs.

No other information was released.
