The United States Naval Submarine Base in Groton was locked down Wednesday morning because of a security threat, according to officials.
According to CNN's Pentagon correspondent, a car entered into the wrong side of the gate at the base, which prompted the lockdown.
Officials said there was no threat to the base, but it was still operating under standard operating procedures.
No other information has been released by officials.
