
A Springfield teen has admitted to shooting and killing a Chicopee teenager.
Gregory Falero, 18, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Hampden Superior Court today. Falero said he shot Kevin Gomez, 16, at a Springfield party in March of last year.
Falero faces life in state prison, but is eligible for parole after 15 years.
Earlier this month co-defendant Mark Melendez, 20, of Springfield, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
He was sentenced to serve up to seven years in state prison.
