First Friday night movie in the park postponed

Movies in the park in Hartford were scheduled to start Friday, however, because of the chance of rainy weather, organizers have postponed the first movie until Sunday.

Movie fans will be able to catch the rest of the movies on Friday, through September 7, with a different movie at a different Hartford park each week.

The movies begin at sunset, but families can start showing up around 7 p.m. to claim a spot and start picnicking.

• July 29: Bushnell Park - Anchorman
• August 3: Pope Park - Puss In Boots
• August 10: Riverside Park - Psycho
• August 17: Keney Park - Jurassic Park
• August 24: Elizabeth Park - Singin' In The Rain
• August 31: Goodwin Park - E.T.
• September 7: Bushnell Park - Rising Star (which was filmed in Connecticut)
