Red Sox fans can rest easy now that Wally the Green Monster has been found.
Police were searching for the person who they though stole the mascot costume near Fenway Park on Friday afternoon.
It was originally reported that the suspect was wearing the costume and was seen running down Boylston and Fairfield streets immediately following the heist.
Boston police said, it was later revealed to officers that an employee took the costume and neglected to inform the proper supervisor.
There is no one under arrest and Wally is safe, according to police.
